HTC’s new Desire phones have humdrum specs but splashy colors

If you are looking for a mid-range smartphone then certainly you can ponder some time over the new HTC Desire 12 and Desire Plus. The phone screens are probably 5.5 inches and 6 inches. While the phone is in news for any of its specs rather for its distinct colors purple and gold.

Both of the newly launched phones have 18:9 display with 1440 x 720 IPS LCD panels. While the phone has used acrylic instead of glass and is made to mimic the design language of the HTC U11. It is expected to blend perfectly with the “liquid surface” to work.

 

Desire 12 comes with a MediaTek MT6739 chipset carrying 2GB-3GB of RAM in it. While the storage varies from 16GB-32GB and an additional microSD slot up to a storage capacity of 2TB can easily be added.  

Secondly, HTC Desire 12 Plus has a Snapdragon 450 processor with 3GB of RAM. While its memory ranges from a 32GB storage to 2TB microSD slot.

 

HTC offers a 5-megapixel(Desire 12) and 8-megapixel(Desire 12 Plus) lens for its front cameras. However, both the smartphones have a 13-megapixel lens on the rear with the latter having a secondary 2-megapixel camera to unveil some of the portrait effects.

Facial recognition is also enabled on both phones.

Meanwhile, the Desire 12 model offers an optimum battery source of 2,730 mAh with both models having a 3.5 mm headphone jack and a charging Micro USB port.

The high-end model Desire 12 Plus sport a larger 2,730 mAh battery. A rear-mounted fingerprint sensor is optimized in 12 Plus. However, you cannot expect its face detection feature anyway comparable to iPhone X’s.

While HTC has not yet revealed its launch date, availability or the slated price of the latest HTC smartphone. It did confirm to HTC of gold being certain as an option.
